Maccabi FC have confirmed the appointment of former Black Leopards coach Joel Masutha as their new head coach for the rest of the season.

The National First Division (NFD) new side announced that Masutha will work alongside the current technical team headed by Moketi Tsotetsi.

In a statement, Maccabi said they are grateful to be able to secure a coach with such knowledge and vast experience considering his previous coaching positions in both the PSL and NFD.

They believe his coaching style and passion will assist the players in improving their performances and achieving more consistent standards.

Masutha said he is looking forward to working with the talented players assembled by the team.

“I’m very happy and humbled to be part of Maccabi FC. Looking forward to enjoying and working very hard with a bunch of talented players and a very good existing technical team backed by a very organized management. Together I foresee a great second round.” said Masutha

Masutha’s first game in charge will be away to Cape Umoya United on 21 January.
