“The Nedbank football takeover will be a Rustenburg footballing weekend to remember.
We’re excited to have reached a 15-year milestone of great football and being the sole knockout competition that contributes to the development of domestic soccer by providing amateur teams an opportunity to compete against top-tier teams. We’re excited for our final fixture and hope the entertainment line-up we are bringing to Rustenburg will peak fans’ excitement ahead of the game. It’s been a great 15 years and we’d like to thank the PSL for helping to make 15 years of Nedbank Cup a success,’’ says Khensani Nobanda, Group Executive for Marketing and Communications at Nedbank.
Ahead of the match, supporters can also look out for Nedbank Reality Football, a series of conversations with the aim of opening people’s minds to conversations around money choices, delving into the lives, defining moments and even money choices of some of South Africa’s greatest ever footballers (including Teko Modise, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Doctor Khumalo, Mark Williams, and Jerry Sikhosana). Supporters can access these discussions with the legends of local football on YouTube, www.moneyedge.co.za and Spotify.
