Kaizer Chiefs 1st assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef says they had multiple plans coming into the game against Stellenbosch FC as some of their new recruits are still not available due to missing paperwork.
Chiefs won 2-0 away at Stellenbosch despite having to play without their new signings in Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett and Nkanyiso Shinga as they await work permits and International Transfer Certificates.
“As a coach, we have to prepare for different playing plan, A, B, C, D, lot of plans, because they (players) can get injury last training session,” Ben Youssef said.
“So for us, we prepare all the team, all of them, they can start the game. We prepare all the situation. And if they are available to play, it’s we are lucky if they are not available, it’s our job to prepare the next plan.”
Chiefs will be hoping to have sorted out their new players’ paperwork when they welcome Polokwane City at FNB stadium on Wednesday.
