Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that they have fired coach Giovanni Solinas and his assistant coach Patrick Mabedi with immediate Effect.
Solinas only joined Amakhosi in August 2018 as a replacement for Steve Komphela.
Chiefs announce the news through their website and social media accounts.
“Kaizer Chiefs and coach Giovanni Solinas have mutually agreed to an amicable termination of his contract with immediate effect. The Italian coach took charge of Amakhosi in July 2018.
Assistant coach Patrick Mabedi’s contract has also been terminated.
We would like to express our gratitude to both for all the efforts during their time at Kaizer Chiefs and wish them well.”
The duo’s last game in charge of Amakhosi was a 2-1 loss to Zanzibar side Zimamoto.
