Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that they have suspended forward Dumisani Zuma for transgression of the Club’s code of conduct.
This is the second time the 26-year-old has been suspended this season following his suspension in November 2021 for alleged drunk and driving incident. Zuma was disciplined in line with Chiefs’ disciplinary code and had to attend rehabilitation.
Zuma had just returned to the team after a 10-month absence and scored the only goal in Amakhosi loss against Cape Town City on Saturday afternoon. He will not be included in Chiefs’ next game against Marumo Gallants on Tuesday and any Club activities until the disciplinary process is concluded.
Full statement:
“The Club is disappointed to report that Dumsani Zuma has been suspended once again pending an internal disciplinary process.
“Zuma has just returned from a 10-month absence which included him being suspended and undergoing rehabilitation processes. In the turn of events following his return and subsequently scoring in the 1-2 loss to Cape Town City on weekend, Zuma has been found to have transgressed the Club’s code of conduct.
“As such, the midfielder will not be included in the squad for Tuesday’s match against Marumo Gallants and will be barred from participating in Club activities until the disciplinary process is concluded.”
