DStv Premiership Midweek round-up

Kaizer Chiefs won their third match in a row after a comfortable 3-0 victory over struggling Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in a DStv Premiership at FNB Stadium on Tuesday.

Nkosingiphile Ngcobo opened the scoring for Chiefs in the 19th minute before the two substitutes Lebogang Manyama and Happy Mashiane combined to score the other two goals in the second half. Manyama made it 2-0 with his first touch in the 66th minute when he taped in Mashiane’s low cross before he released Mashiane with a defence split pass to make it 3-0 on a stroke of fulltime.

Both teams finished the match with 10 men after Alfred Ndengane and Bernard parker were sent off in the 84th minute and stoppage-time respectively.

Mamelodi Sundowns 0-0 Bloemfontein Celtic

Bloemfontein Celtic produced a great performance to hold reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns to a goalless draw in a DStv Premiership clash at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Tuesday.

Orlando pirates 0-0 Golden Arrows

Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows drew 0-0 in a DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.

SuperSport United 1-1 AmaZulu

SuperSport United and AmaZulu played to a 1-1 draw at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.

Siphelele Mthembu scored the opening goal in the 33rd minute before Bradley Grobler levelled matters from a penalty sport with 13 minutes left on the clock.

Moroka Swallows 1-1 Chippa United

Swallows FC and Chippa United drew 1-1 at the Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday.

Ruzaigh Gamaldien scored the opening goal in the 11th minute before Kurt Lentjies scored a screamer from just outside the box to level matters.

Stellenbosch FC 2-3 Baroka FC 

Baroka FC produced a great performance to claim a 3-2 win over Stellenbosch at Danie Craven stadium.

Evidence Makgopa opened the scoring five minutes before the break before scoring his second on the hour mark to make it 2-0. Gerald Junior Phiri made it 3-0 in the 89th minute.

Stellies scored two goals in the added time to bring some respectability into the final results. Stanley Dimgba pulled a goal back before Ryan Moon converted a penalty to make it 3-2.

Black Leopards 0-2 Cape Town City

Surprise Ralani scored a brace in the 31st minute and 84th minute as Cape Town City defeated Black Leopards 2-0 at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Wednesday.

Maritzburg United 0-3 TS Galaxy 

Owen Da Gama led TS Galaxy produced a great performance to claim a 3-0 win over Maritzberg United at Harry Gwala stadium.

Wayde Lekay scored the opening goal in the 33rd minute before second half goals from Lindokuhle Mbatha in the 48th minute and Felix Badenhorst’s free-kick made it 3-0 seven minutes from time.
