Letsoaka Returns Home!

Free State Stars have appointed Serame Letsoaka as the new head coach.

Letsoaka replaces Giovanni Solinas, who left Stars after disagreement with management over the vision of the club with regard to the approach for the remainder of the season.

Letsoaka is delighted to return “home” and thanks Chairman Mike Mokoena for the chance to return to his former club.

“I am excited to come back home, this is the club where I started my career as a professional player,” Said Letsoaka.

“I have been gone since 1995 when I hung up my boots and I left the team in 1996 and 20 year later I am back and it’s very exciting because this is the only club I played for as a professional.

“Coming back home to plough back the knowledge that I have gathered whilst I was out there. It feels great to be given an opportunity by Bra Mike [Mike Mokoena] and his management to lead the team and I am up for the challenge.

“When comes to winning the silverware I am in fact the last captain to lift the trophy for a major silverware for the team, and it will be nice again to lift it again this time as a coach.

“Most importantly is to get the team away from the relegation zone and to get stability in the team and we build the team and make sure that we are the force we are use to be.”
