University of the Western Cape (UWC) ladies coach, Thinasonke Mbuli says UWC need to win their home games to compete with the best in the Hollywoodbets Super League.
UWC have played two home games so far this season and won both, a 1-0 win over Thunderbirds Ladies before defeating JVW 3-1 to end their perfect start to the season.
UWC are currently Fifth on the Hollywoodbets Super League table with seven points after four games.
Speaking after their 3-1 win over JVW, Coach Mbuli said it will important to “operate” teams at home, especially teams above them on the log.
“Home games we must make sure. They call the stadium operation room so we must operate everyone who is coming here,” Mbuli said.
“It [win] means a lot because if we want to compete, we need to beat the teams above us, JVW is above us in terms of log position.”
UWC’s next game is away to the leaders, First Touch FC in Polokwane on Saturday afternoon.
