The Premier Soccer League (PSL) have confirmed that Moses Mabhida Stadium will host the 2022 MTN8 cup final. The final will be played on Saturday, 5 November 2022.
The 2010 World Cup Stadium will host the MTN8 cup final for the third consecutive year after hosting the finals in 2020 (Bloemfontein Celtic 1-2 Orlando Pirates) and 2021 (Cape Town City (2) 1-1 (3) Mamelodi Sundowns).
Full statement from the PSL:
“The iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, has been confirmed by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) as the host venue for the 2022/23 MTN8 Final.
“The final will be played on Saturday, 05 November 2022.
“The PSL will confirm the kick-off time, ticketing information, and other match logistics in due course.”
The two finalist are yet to be known as the semi-finals will only be played this weekend. Orlando Pirates host Mamelodi Sundowns at Orlando Stadium on Saturday at 15:30 while Kaizer Chiefs will host AmaZulu at FNB Stadium on Sunday at 15:30 in the first leg. The second leg will be played on the weekend of 22 October 2022.
