TS Galaxy Queens midfielder Nompumelelo Nyandeni has been named the 2022 South African Football Journalists’ Association (SAFJA) Women’s Footballer of the season.
“Mbuzi” was up against Boitumelo Rabale of Mamelodi Sundowns, University of Western Cape (UWC) duo of Amogelang Motau and Lonathemba Mhlongo ,and teammate Busisiwe Ndimeni.
Nyandeni starred for JVW FC in 2022, and was the Hollywoodbets Super League top goal scorer , while Ndimeni played for Tshwane University of Technology (TUT).
The 35-year-old, a veteran of 149 Banyana Banyana caps, walked away with R15 000 prize money.
