Diski Voice can confirm that defender Keenan Phillips has completed a move to AmaZulu FC following his departure from Golden Arrows.
Phillips’ exit from Arrows came as a surprise to many within South African football, but the former junior international has wasted little time in securing a new home, with Usuthu moving swiftly to secure his signature ahead of the new season.
His departure comes amid significant changes at Golden Arrows, where the club is understood to be undergoing a major restructuring. Head coach Manqoba Mngqithi, along with assistant coaches Musa Bilankulu and Kagisho Dikgacoi, are all expected to leave as part of the anticipated overhaul.
The move to AmaZulu marks another chapter in the 26-year-old defender’s well-travelled Betway Premiership career. Phillips first made his breakthrough at Bidvest Wits before going on to represent SuperSport United, Moroka Swallows, Golden Arrows, and now AmaZulu, making the Moses Mabhida Stadium based outfit the fifth top-flight club of his career.
The Arthur Zwane coached side will be hoping Phillips’ experience and versatility at the back can strengthen their defensive unit as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
