The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee (PSL DC) has charged Ajax Cape Town, Free State Stars and Jomo Cosmos for failing to comply with different rules.
Ajax Cape Town was charged with failing to provide adequate security at its home venue during their Absa Premiership fixture against Free State Stars FC on 17 March 2017. This resulted in a spectator throwing an object at the match officials. The club admitted liability and paid a fine of R 11 400.00.
Free State Stars was charged with failing to comply with the PSL Compliance Manual after their representative failed to arrive on time for the pre-match meeting ahead of their Absa Premiership fixture played against Ajax Cape Town FC on 17 March 2017. The club admitted liability and paid a fine of R 5 700.00.
Jomo Cosmos were fined a total of R51 300.00 for three charges relating to their NFD fixture against Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila in Vosloorus on 09 September 2017.
Below are the charges.
– Failure to ensure that their team was present in the change room 70 minutes before kick-off. The club admitted liability and paid a fine of R 22 800.00.
– Failure to furnish a typed starting line-up. The club admitted liability and paid a fine of R 17 100.00 as this was a repeat offence.
– Failure to present club (match) kit for inspection to the Match Commissioner at the Match Meeting. The club admitted liability and paid a fine of R 11 400.00 as this was a repeat offence.
