Cape Town Spurs are promoted to the DStv premiership after producing a defensive masterclass to earn a 0-0 draw against Maritzburg United in the final match of the promotion playoffs on Wednesday evening.
Spurs went into the game looking to avoid a defeat, and made sure of that by denying Maritzburg over 90 minutes.
They can now look forward to the DStv premiership football next season.
Spurs will be relieved after almost threw away their chance of promotion after failing to beat AmaTuks in their last match of the season when a victory would have guaranteed them straight promotion.
