University of Cape Town (UCT) Ladies have qualified for their second succesive 2024 Sasol League National Championship after beating The Magic Ladies 3-0 in the Western Cape playoffs at UWC sports ground on Saturday.
UCT scored two first half goals through Michaela Liebenberg and Earon Isaacs to go into the break with a comfortable 2-0 lead over the much fancied former Bafana Bafana Striker, George Dearnaley’s Magic Ladies.
Both goals came from set pieces as Liebenbeng headed in the 1st goal from a corner while Isaacs scored directly from a corner.
Katlego Mazibuko added a third goal with a header from another set piece halfway through the second half to put the game beyond The Magic Ladies.
Magic Ladies seemed to be just going through the emotions as they failed to trouble the UCT defence through out the 90 minutes.
UCT join the winners of the other 8 Provinces in Kovsie FC (Free States), FC Raycon Ladies (Gauteng), Super Strikers Ladies (Mpumalanga), Sophakama Ladies (Eastern Cape), North West University (North West), Ramatlaohle Ladies (Limpopo), Ezemvelo WFC, and Royal Wizards (Nothern Cape).
The Sasol League National Championship will be played on 15-20 October in Knysna, Western Cape.
