Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Blom says he enjoys playing both as a defender and as a midfielder, but coach Zwane intents to primarily play him in midfield.
Coach Arthur Zwane has so far played Blom both at right back as well as a in midfield in the current 2022/2023 season.
However, the 22-year-old Blom is determined to adapt and focus on playing in the midfield.
“Last season the coach played me as a right-back and then Coach Zwane said he wanted to play me in midfield,” Blom told the club’s official website.
“I think it’s better to adapt quickly as a player and focus on the position you are playing. For me, I think it’s kind of great to play as a ‘6’ (defensive midfielder) but I also enjoy playing as a right-back. I enjoy both positions”
Blom will be hoping to continue his role in midfield when Amakhosi visit Stellenbosch FC in a DStv Premiership encounter on Sunday at the Cape Town stadium. Kick-off is at 15:30.
