Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named a 37-players preliminary squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin.
Bafana host Lesotho on 21 March 2025 at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, Limpopo at 18h00 before traveling to Côte d’Ivoire to face Benin on 25 March 2025. Benin is hosting Bafana in Côte d’Ivoire ans none of their home stadiums were approved to host international matches.
The team will report for camp in Johannesburg on Monday 17 March 2025 before travelling to Polokwane. After hosting Lesotho on 21 March, Broos and his charges will travel to Abidjan the next day on a charter flight to face Benin in the away match.
The preliminary squad will be trimmed to 23 players in the coming days when Broos announces his final list for the two matches.
