The Premier Soccer League (PSL) have been forced to postpone the Nedbank Cup match between Mamelodi Sundowns and Sekhukhune United after the host stadium was double booked.
The Nedbank Cup Quarterfinal clash was to be played on Saturday, 8 March at Lucas Moripe Stadium at 20:00.
The match was postponed after the “PSL learned today (7 March 2025) of social media reports that the stadium had seen fit to accept a booking for an under 17 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier scheduled to kick off at 15h00.”
The League has vowed to investigate the matter fully to establish how the stadium ended up being double booked.
The PSL extended its apology to all stakeholders of the beautiful game who were preparing to watch the Quarterfinal today.
The League will reschedule the match in compliance with the law and the League Compliance Manual and inform the public.
All supporters who purchased match tickets are urged to keep them safe for use on the rescheduled fixture date, which will be announced in due course.
