Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of seven players effective end of June 2022.
Amakhosi confirmed on their social media accounts that they are not going to renew the contracts of Samir Nurković, Lazarous Kambole, Lebogang Manyama, Daniel Cardoso, Leonardo Castro, Daniel Akpeyi and Kearyn Baccus. These players’ contracts were due to expire at the end of June 2022.
The club also announced that they have put Kenyan midfielder Anthony Akumu Agay on transfer and will listen to offers from other Clubs for his services. Agay made 47 appearances for Amakhosi after joining from Zesco.
In addition to the eight departing players, Chiefs also confirmed that they have gone their separate ways with goalkeeper Coach Lee Baxter. Lee joined Chiefs in February 2018.
