Cape Town City have announced that they have placed Head Coach Jan Olde Riekerink on “administrative leave”, with immediate effect.
The coach has been placed on leave at the back of two conservative defeats, a 5-1 hammering at the hands of AmaZulu and a 1-0 defeat to TS Galaxy over the past weekend.
Assistant coach, Diogo Peral will take charge of the team until further notice. Diski Voice understand coach Peral will be in charge for last four league matches.
City confirmed the news in a short statement on their twitter account on Monday afternoon.
“The club can confirm that it has placed coach Jan Olde Riekerink on administrative leave, with immediate effect. Club assistant coach Diogo Peral will take charge of the team until further notice.” City’s statement on twitter.
