International music mogul DJ Khaled Sends well wishes messages to Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of CAF Champions League final against Egyptian giants Pyramids FC.
The final will be played over two-legged, with the first leg set for May 24 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, and the decisive return leg taking place on 1 June, in Cairo.
Sundowns have received a boost of special support as prominent digital billboards, featuring international music mogul DJ Khaled, were erected in locations around Gauteng ahead of the final in a special initiative, facilitated by Roc Nation Sports International – Mamelodi Sundowns’ global partner.
Two digital billboards – featuring DJ Khaled wearing the yellow colours of the Brazilians – will be flighted at the iconic Nelson Mandela Square, and on Katherine Street in Sandton for the next month.
The billboards are emblazoned with the words: ‘Good luck Mamelodi Sundowns, let’s go. The sky is the limit!’
The billboards also serve to celebrate Mamelodi Sundowns’ eighth successive league title, and aims to build further excitement for the club’s participation in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
DJ Khaled, who is said to be a long-time supporter of Masandawana and the face of the “We The Best” movement, has also recorded a selection of hype messages, which will be shown on the big screens at Loftus on match day.
The American music mogul is also looking forward to welcoming his beloved Sundowns to Miami and the US when they travel to the Club World Cup next month.
