Fawaaz Basadien has been named Stellenbosch Football Club’s Footballer of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season for 2024/2025 season at event hosted at the Allée Bleue Wine Estate, Franschhoek on Tuesday night.
Basadien won the two biggest awards on the night’s after contributing 15 goals from left-back. He scored seven goals and assisted his teammates score eight goals.
Sihle Nduli, who is rumoured to be playing his last match for Stellies on Saturday, took home the RAMA Fans Player of the Season. The fans who voted for him would hope the love they showed him could make him change his mind about leaving.
Sage Stephens was named Sportsman of the Year in recognition of his exemplary leadership and contribution to the growth of the club’s brand.
Club administrator, Ghouwa Manuel deservedly received the prestigious CEO’s award from CEO Rob Benadie, in recognition of her dedication and hard work throughout the season.
