Mamelodi Sundowns produced a great performance to beat the University of the Western Cape (UWC) 3-0 at the Tuks Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The win was enough to propel Sundowns to the top of the Hollywoodbets Super League log after coming into the game two points behind their opponents. Sundowns now have 34 points while UWC remain on 33 points from 13 matches.
Chuene Morifi opened the scoring after 23 minutes before second-half goals from Andisiwe Mgcoyi and the debutant Refilwe Tholakele.
Mgcoyi added the second goal in the 57th minute after blasting in her fifth goal of the season from close range. The Botswana international Tholakele, added a third goal on the stroke of full time to hand Sundowns a convincing 3-0 win.
