The Premier Soccer League (PSL) have confirmed the prize money to be rewarded to the winner of the Motsepe Foundation Championship for the 2022/23 season.
The winner, who will come from either Cape Town Spurs, Casric Stars, and Polokwane City, will receive a prize money of R5 million.
Spurs are the leaders going into the last game of the season with 56 points, one point ahead of second-placed Stars and two ahead of Third-placed Polokwane City.
Spurs host University of Pretoria (Tuks) at Athlone Stadium, while Castric Stars play All Stars FC. City face Petoria Callies with both games being played on Sunday at 15:00 for fairness sake.
PSL have decided that the Motsepe Foundation Championship trophy, team medals, and winner’s cheque, will be awarded at a later stage due to the distances and variables involved on the final day.
The league will confirm the details of the presentation in due course.
