University of the Western Cape (UWC) forward Abongile Dlani scored a brace as UWC secure their first away win with a 3-0 victory over Tsunami Queens in the Hollywoodbets Super league (HSL) at Clarens Stadium on Saturday.
UWC secured their first away win after Dlani’s first-half brace and Sibulele Holweni’s strike ensured that the Bushies move up to the second spot on the league table.
Dlani opened the scoring for UWC after just seven minutes before making it 2-0 on a half-hour mark after finishing off a move instigated by a beautiful through ball from Molatelo Kobo.
Holweni made it 3-0 just two minutes later after producing a clinical finish from nelly Mamabolo nicely weighted through ball to take a comfortable 3-0 lead into the halftime break.
The visitors spurned several chances to add to their halftime lead with Kobo, Tiffany Kortjie and Dlani seeing their attempts blocked in succession inside the box with 15 minutes left.
This was arguably the best away performance from coach Thinasonke Mbuli’s side, who showed greater quality in converting chances to secure only their first away win since the start of the season.
