Thandi Rameri scored a hat-trick as Copperbelt Ladies produce a great performance in their 6-1 victory over helpless Thunderbirds Ladies at the Baroka Global Village on Sunday afternoon.
The other goals were scored by Thembi Munyuku who got a brace and Nomphelo Yakhuphi. Anathi Yose scored the consolation goal for Thunderbirds.
With the win, Copperbelt are now in the third spot on the log with 12 points. Thunderbirds remain at the bottom of the log with no points, the only side yet to register a single point.
At the Isaac Wolfson Stadium , Qqeberha, Ayesha Moosa scored the winner as University of Johannesburg (UJ Ladies) came back from a goal down to beat City Lads 3-2 and go top of the Hollywoodbets Super League with leaders Mamelodi Sundowns not involved in Week 6 due to Banyana Banyana’s Olympic clash against Nigeria.
City Lads took the lead in the 25th minute through Lutho Gabuza Magobiyane to give the home side a 1-0 lead at the break.
UJ levelled matters 10 minutes into the second half through Shannon Macomo before Gugu Dhlamini scored in the 63rd minute to give them a 2-1 lead. Ashley Booysen equalised for City Lads in the 71st minute before Moosa scored the all important winner for the visitors with just nine minutes left to play.
In the 3rd and final match of game week six, Richmond collected maximum points following a 2-0 victory over First Touch Ladies in Polokwane on Sunday.
Both goals came in the 2nd half through Thandeka Ncambe and Michelle Sampson.
