Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that their longest serving player and Club captain, Itumeleng Khune, has signed a one-year contract extension for 2023/2024 season.
This will be Khune’s final contract as a player after two decades at Amakhosi. He made his debut in August 2007 against Jomo Cosmos, at the age of just 20.
Khune will move into a coaching, and also take up an ambassadorial role at the club’s marketing department at the end of the 2023/2024 season.
Khune has seen his role in the first team reduced in recent times managing to make only 13 appearances last season.
