Stellenbosch Football Club have confirmed that Thapelo Mokobodi has completed a permanent transfer to Betway Premiership reigning champions Orlando Pirates.
The 23-years-old has signed a three-year contract with the buccaneers in a move he described as a “big opportunity”.
“I am pleased to be here and look forward to meeting the rest of the team,” Mokobodi said.
“It’s a big opportunity to play for such a club and I am ready to get going. I would like to make a meaningful contribution to this great institution.”
Mokobodi played 53 matches for Stellenbosch FC (28) & Marumo Gallants (25).
Mokobodi only joined Stellies in August 2025 and made 28 appearances across all competitions during his solitary season with the Club.
Stellies thanked Mokobodi for his service in a shortperiod with the club and wished him all the best in the next chapter of his career.
