Mokotjo Joins Sekhukhune

Sekhukhune United have announced the signing of Bafana Bafana international Midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo from FC Cincinnati (USA) on a one-and-a-half-year contract.

The 31-year-old Mokotjo (31) began his career with Supersport United Academy before he was promoted into the first team squad at the age of 16 years.

Then, he moved to Feyenoord in the Netherlands just after he was promoted to the first team.

‘The General’ moved to England in 2017 to play for Brentford FC where he played for three seasons before moving to the US to join FC Cincinnati, a team in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

Mokotjo is mostly famous for captaining South Africa’s U12 national team called ‘Tsetse Flies’ to victory at the 2003 Danone Nations Cup in France and was named Player of the Tournament.

Sekhukhune United Chairman Mr. Simon Malatji is pleased to have secured the services of such a quality player in Mokotjo and wishes him well.
