MTN South Africa and the Premier Soccer League (PSL) have launched the 2024 MTN8 campaign, which will see MTN celebrates 16 years of partnership with the PSL.
The MTN8 is played by the top 8 teams from the previous season.
Reigning champions Orlando Pirates will kick off the 2024 season when they come up against SuperSport United at Orlando Stadium on Saturday at 18:00.
Stellenbosch FC will welcome TS Galaxy at the Danie Craven Stadium on Sunday at 15:00.
The following week, Sekhukhune United will host Cape Town City at New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday while Sundowns will welcome Polokwane City at Lucas Moripe stadium on Sunday. Both games will kick off at 15:00.
MTN announced that they will be boosting the prize money for the MTN8 winning team from R8 million to R10 million.
MTN’s Acting GM of Brand and Marketing, Kholofelo Magagane believes the increase prize money demonstrates their commitment in supporting sports.
