Orlando Pirates have announced the signing of Stellenbosch fullback Deano van Rooyen.
The 27-year-old has signed a three year contract with the Buccaneers, which includes an additional two-year option.
Van Rooyen joined Stellies as a teenager, and made his debut back in 2016.
“Die Hond” went to become an important player for the club. He made a record 161 appearances and helped the team get promoted to the PSL in 2019 and won the Carling knockout Cup in 2013/2014 season.
He captained the team for the best parts of the last two season.
