Goals from Ahmed Tawfik, Ahmed Hassan Mekki, Moustafa Fathi and Mahmoud Kahraba condemned Orlando Pirates to second spot in the group leaving them with a tough task of having to beat Al Ahly (who won Group A) if they want to reach the final.

Pirates struggled to contain Kahraba who was deservedly named man of the match after scoring a goal and Providing two assists.

Zamalek took the lead in the 13th minute when Tawfik pounced on a loose ball inside the box to open the scoring.

Pirates found the equaliser just after half an hour, Thamasanqa Gabuza delivered a perfect cross from the left for the onrushing captain, Oupa Manyisa who clinically finished at the near post.

Zamalek restored the lead five minutes later through Mekki.

It was all Zamalek in the second half and it was no surprise when they added two more goals through Fathi and Kahraba.

Pirates will now face Al Ahly in the semifinal.
