The Premier Soccer League (PSL) have confirmed the details of the draw for the promotional play-offs.
The Promotion Play-Off draw will take place at the PSL offices on Wednesday, 10 May 2023 at 15h00. The draw will be broadcasted LIVE on the PSL Facebook page.
The play-off will take place between 28 May and 14 June 2023.
The play-offs are contested by the 15th-placed team in the DStv Premiership, as well as the second and third-placed teams in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
The Draw Procedure:
1) As per the Promotion Play-Off Rules:
a) CLUB1, CLUB2 and CLUB3 will be allocated as follows:
i) CLUB1 will be the Club finishing in position 15 (fifteen) of the Premier Division.
b) A public draw will be held to determine which of the remaining participating Member Clubs will be CLUB2 and CLUB3.
The purpose of the draw is to determine CLUB2 and CLUB3 of the Promotion Play-Off Fixtures.
The Competition will be played over 6 (six) fixture dates with the fixtures being as follows:
i) 28 May 2023 – CLUB3 vs CLUB2
ii) 31 May 2023 – CLUB1 vs CLUB3
iii) 03 June 2023 – CLUB2 vs CLUB1
iv) 07 June 2023 – CLUB2 vs CLUB3
v) 10 June 2023 – CLUB3 vs CLUB1
vi) 14 June 2023 – CLUB1 vs CLUB2
2) The two NFD clubs that will finish the Motsepe Foundation Championship season in Position 2 and 3 will be identified as NFD2 and NFD3 for the purpose of the draw.
