Royal AM say they sold last season’s top goalscorer Victor Letsoalo to Sekhukhune United as they were the only team that submitted a written offer for him.
The club released a statement confirming that Letsoalo approached management last week “requesting to play for a team closer to his home” in Limpopo.
Subsequent to his request to leave, the club say they received only one written offer from Sekhukhune United which is contrary to reports that they quoted Kaizer Chiefs R20m but ended up selling him for around R3.5m.
Letsoalo was Royal AM’s top goalscorer last season with 14 goals across all competitions.
