Cape Town Spurs have announced the appointment of Ernst Middendorp as their new coach.
The former Maritzburg United and Kaizer Chiefs head coach was officially unveiled during a press conference on Friday at Ikamva.
Technical director, Sean Connor has been steadying the ship on an interim basis since the firing of former coach Shaun Bartlett. He managed to guide Spurs to their first points and only win of the season beating Orlando Pirates 2-1.
Spurs Technical Director, Connor confirmed that Middendorp will work with the current technical team, including recently appointed assistant coach, Vasili Manousakis.
Middendorp’s first match in charge will be against Royal AM on 25 November at DHL Stadium.
