Stellenbosch have announced the signings of Shakeel April from Cape Town City and Wonderboy Makhubu from Sekhukhune United ahead of Thursday registration deadline.
Asekho Tiwani has also joined Stellies on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
The trio have already joined Stellies training ahead of the weekend’s CAF Confederation Cup fixture against CR Belouizdad on Sunday, at the DHL Stadium.
April and Tiwani were part of the South Africa U20 squad that were crowned the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations champions last year.
Makhubu is an experienced forward who scored 15 goals in 38 league appearances for Magesi FC over the last two-and-a-half seasons, while on loan from Sekhukhune United.
Stellenbosch CEO Rob Benadie believes the signings will significantly boost the club in the second half of the season.
“We are pleased to conclude the January transfer window by welcoming Shakeel, Wonderboy, and Asekho to the Club,” Benadie said.
“We believe that these signings, together with those who arrived earlier in the month, have strengthened our squad in key areas and will provide us with a significant boost in the second half of the season.”
Before announcing the three signings, Stellies confirmed they had parted ways with Thato Khiba and Lesiba Nku who joined Sekhukhune and Sanele Barns who rejoined Richard’s Bay
