The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that Mr Zola Majavu’s term of office as Independent League Prosecutor has ended as of 31 January 2026.
Majavu will be replaced by Mr Pumzo Mbana, an advocate of the Johannesburg Bar, as the new Independent League Prosecutor. His appointment was rubber stamped by the PSL Executive Committee in a meeting held on Thursday, 29 January 2026,
Mr Mbana brings with him extensive experience in sports law and has previously served with distinction on the League’s Judicial Tribunals.
However, Majavu will remain within the PSL as he continues to serve in his capacity as a member of the First Instance Body responsible for adjudicating club licensing applications each season.
