Stellenbosch FC have confirmed that Danie Craven Stadium will be temporarily unavailable until the end of December.

The Stellenbosch University owned stadium will be going through renovations in preparation for the 2026 FISU World University Championship Rugby Sevens.

According to the club, “the decision falls outside of Stellenbosch FC’s control”, and as a results, are forced to temporary change venue for all their home games until January 2026.

Stellies will host their home games at both Athlone Stadium and DHL Stadium until the completion of the renovations, and have apologised to their followers and assured their “Maroon Access Season Ticket Holders” that they will remain unaffected by this development, as their cards will continue to provide entry to all home fixtures.

The club will communicate further details regarding the renovation timelines and the reopening of Danie Craven Stadium.
