Zwane Given Chiefs Head Coach Role

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the appointment of Arthur Zwane as the senior team’s new head coach on a three-year deal.

“10111” as Zwane is affectionately known, has been in temporary charge of Amakhosi following the departure of Stuart Baxter. He was on the bench for the final seven league matches of the 2021/22 season.

Zwane was also in charge towards the end of last season following the firing of Gavin Hunt.

He spent majority of his coaching life in the Chiefs’ development structures and help produce some of the players who are now part of the first team, such as Siyabonga Ngezana, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Sabelo Radebe, Njabulo Blom, Bruce Bvuma, Mduduzi Shabalala and Happy Mashiane. He won the Multichoice Diski Shield in 2018 with some of these players.

He is equipped with a UEFA B Licence Coaching Badge, as well as CAF A and B Licence Coaching Badges.

Zwane will be assisted by Dillon Sheppard.
