Ajax Cape Town coach Roger de Sa feels that Mpumalanga Black Aces have been the team of the season thus far.
This comes after Aces been amongst the team charging for the League title this year. The Ajax mentor also highlighted that AmaZayoni could be the PSL version of Leicester City in the English Premiership.
Last season Aces were fighting relegation and this time they have turned things around and De Sa touches on how Muhsin Ertugral has done a brilliant job with the team.
“I think Aces have been in my mind, I think Sundowns are starter team but Aces have been the team of the season and they resemble a little of our Leicester City in our own League here,” De Se told reporters.
“They really have done well, I didn’t expect them to do well after last season. Again Muhsin has done a fantastic job and has got them playing to their strength. He has also revitalized couple of the players and they really look good.
“They keep on surprising everybody with the good results and we went there at the beginning of the season and we lost 1-0. We could’ve got more out of that game I don’t think we deserved to lose that one but I expect similar in counter on Wednesday night,” he said.
However, Black Aces haven’t been doing well in the last few games which saw them play out to a goalless draw with both Jomo Cosmos and Bloemfontein Celtic.
Urban warriors will host Black Aces at the Athlone Stadium, kick-off at 19:30 tomorrow night.
