AmaZulu Football Club have confirmed the appointment of Spaniard, Pablo Franco Martin on a 36-month long deal.
The 43-year-old tactician was formerly in charge of Simba SC in Tanzania, and has previously coached teams like Qadsia SC in Kuwait, Getafe in Spain as well as being assistant coach at Real Madrid in Spain.
Franco will join the squad next week to begin his pre-season program.
Club President Sandile Zungu expressed excitement at securing a coach of Martin’s caliber.
“We are absolutely delighted at the quality of parties that we interviewed, who shared with us their ideas about Usuthu,” Zungu said.
“Usuthu is loved and seen as a very attractive prospect. We emerged with one name. A name that the players will be very happy with, the supporters, sponsors, and the directors of AmaZulu Football Club.
“We believe that the local league will be richer with a person of this gentleman’s calibre coming to the DSTV Premiership.”
