Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos says his team is still motivated to collect maximum points against South Sudan in a Group K 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Cape Town on Tuesday evening.
Bafana Bafana come into the match having already qualified for the tournament to be held in Morocco in 2025, but the Belgian born coach insists they would still go for a win to finish the qualifying campaign on a high.
“We want to win the game tomorrow. This is not a friendly game,” Broos said
“For us it is an important game because we want to remain top of the Group, and we also want to show something to the crowd that is expected at the stadium.
“We had two amazing evenings in Bloemfontein and in Gqeberha with great crowds and nice wins, so we want to do it again in Cape Town.
“It means we are still motivated for the game and again, it is very important for us to wrap up the qualifiers top of the group. It would be the cherry on top, as people say.”
