Stellenbosch Football Club head coach Steve Barker says their Saturday’s Carling Knockout final clash against TS Galaxy will be the biggest match in the club’s history.
Stellenbosch will take on TS Galaxy in their first ever cup finally at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday. kick-Off is at 15:00
Speaking at the media open day ahead of the final, coach Barker admitted that this will be the club’s biggest game.
“I think it is the biggest game in the club’s history,” Barker said.
“When we played in the National First Division we won the league on the last day of the season to get promoted, and that was one of the biggest days in the club’s history.
“There have been other special occasions like our first time in the MTN8 quarter-final against Kaizer Chiefs in front of a packed stadium, and the recent semi-final against Orlando Pirates.
“So, there have been some really special games but there have been none where we played on the day to win the trophy, and I think that makes this a very special occasion and a very special match for the club.”
