The dream of a professional football career has finally come to life for Bloemfontein-born defender, Jarred Meyer who has signed a one-year contract with Jomo Cosmos. Meyer was part of the 16 Nedbank Ke Yona Team players who went for month long trials with the 16 Premier Soccer League (PSL).
“It is an honour for me to join a club that has a rich history of producing quality in the country. I believe Cosmos is the ideal place for me as a young player keen to make a mark in the PSL. I am also looking forward to working closer with my coach and legendary footballer Jomo Sono who has already added a lot of value to my game” says Meyer.
Now in its third season, the Nedbank Ke Yona teams search which annually scours the lengths and breadths of the country to unearth football talent; has already enabled more than 10 players to realise their dreams of playing professional football.

“Jabu” as the defender is affectionately known; has started training and with his determination, he is set to make his debut for Ezenkosi in the Premier Soccer League.
