Glasgow City have announced the signing of Banyana Banyana international midfielder Linda Motlhalo on a long term deal until 2025.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder joins from Swedish side Djurgårdens IF. She played for NWSL side Houston Dash and Beijing Phoenix before joining Djurgårdens IF in 2020.
Motlhalo is a key figure in the Banyana Banyana side and already has an impressive 62 caps and 16 goals for her country.
Motlhalo expressed excitement on joining Glasgow City.
“I am excited to have signed with Glasgow City. I am looking forward to new experiences and new adventures here and I look to develop further. I can’t wait to get this chapter started,” Motlhalo told City’s official website.
Motlhalo could make her debut on Sunday when City face Rangers in the SWPL at Broadwood Stadium.
