Mphahlele Expects Tough Match As Chiefs Visit Sekhukhune

Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele says he is expecting a tough match against a very experienced Sekhukhune United in their penultimate game of the season on Saturday.

“We watched a little bit of the videos and the coaches also told us a bit of their strengths and weaknesses,” Mphahlele said.

“We’re trying to obviously plan for the game, so we can go to Ellis Park [Emirates Airline Park Stadium] and get the result. A very difficult team to play against, they have been doing well.

“We have to be at our best, for us to be able to get maximum points.”

“They have a very experienced team, a very tough team. They play at a very high pace,”

“We have to be strong physically, we have to be able to run more than them. We know that we’re going to be playing away from home and that they’re going to put us under pressure.

“Obviously they have the likes of [Willard] Katsande, who knows the club very well and is going to probably give them inside information.

“We’re confident that we can go there and get the result.”

“We just want to finish the season on a good note and we know we’ve had a lot of ups and downs as a team and in the past two games we managed to pick up the levels and we were promising.

“It’s been a long season and we just want to finish on a high.”

Mphahlele added that he has special memories of Sekhukhune’s home ground, Emirates Airline Park Stadium.

“I have fond memories of Ellis park [Emirates Airline Park Stadium] as that is where I made my debut against orlando Pirates while still at high school. It is a very special place for me.” Mphahlele added.
