Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies were officially crowned the Champions of Hollywoodbets Super League following their 1-0 win over TS Galaxy Queens at the Lucas Moripe on Wednesday afternoon.
A solitary goal from Andisiwe Mgcoyi was enough to earn Sundowns maximum points. Mgcoyi opened the scoring in the 46th minute after a 0-0 stalemate at halftime.
Sundowns can into the game on Wednesday afternoon at Lucas Moripe stadium knowing well that a win will secure the championship with two games still to play.
With this win, Sundowns moved to the top of the table with 75 points from 28 matches, same points as the University of Western Cape (UWC) who have already played all 30 games. Sundowns have superior goal difference to UWC.
