Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signing of former Cape Town Spurs forward Asanele Velebayi on a “long-term contract”.
The former Spurs captain was only yesterday declared a free agent by the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber allowing him to fulfill his lifelong dream of wearing the Gold & Black of Amakhosi.
Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. expressed his excitement for finally signing a player they have been chasing since last season.
“We are happy to finally have Asanele with us,” Motaung Junior said.
“He is a great addition, and we believe he will add significant value because he is a perfect fit for our game model and the culture we have here at the Club.”
