Chiefs Fire Hunt After Nine Months

kaizer Chiefs have fired coach Gavin Hunt after just nine months in charge.

The formef Bidvest Wits coach replaced Ernst Middendorp as Chiefs coach in September 2020 and guided the club to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions league but his form in the DSTV Premiership left much to be desired.

They are currently 11th and only five points from the relegation play-off spot, having picked up only two wins from their last 16 league games.

Hunt took charge of 44 official matches (12W, 17D, 15L) in all competitions.

Assistant Coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard will take charge of the senior team until a permanent coach is appointed.
