Sekhukhune United duo of coach Lehlohonolo Seema and Linda Mntambo won big at the DStv Premiership monthly awards as they walked away with the coach and player of the months for February/March 2024.
Sekhukhune went on an impressive run in February/March winning 100% of the five matches beating Richards Bay, Golden Arrows, Royal AM, Moroka Swallows and Orlando Pirates, and scored 11 goals and conceded only three.
Coach Seema received huge praise from the judging panel for the way he got Ba Bina Noko to play an exciting, free flowing style of football.
Mntambo, who only recently returned from a long term injury, went on a great run that was rewarded with three goals and two assists that propelled his team to five victories.
Orlando Pirates’ Thabiso Lebitso, saw his stunningly goal in his side’s 3-2 win over rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby voted the DStv Premiership Goal of the Month for February/March.
All three awards winners will each receive a trophy and R7, 000 courtesy of league sponsors, DStv.
