Stellenbosch FC coach Steve Barker was very please with his team’s “best performance” in an emphatic 3-0 victory over TS Galaxy on Wednesday night.
Stellies’s goals were scored by Thabo Moloisane, Devin Titus and Antonio van Wyk in a game they could have scored even more goals had they converted some of the many opportunities created, especially in the first half.
Coach Barker was full of smiles after the game following what he described as one of the best performances from his team.
“Obviously, I’m very pleased with the results. In my opinion, it was one of our best performances,” Barker said.
“I thought from the first minute to the last minute, I think we were just on point, we played with a lot of energy and intensity. We looked dangerous on transition. We moved the ball, and kept the ball well.
“I thought the commitment of the players was first-class. I’m very pleased with the overall performance.
“A couple of players got opportunities again – [Qobolwakhe] Sibande got an extended run at left back, and has shown his quality, and [Anicet] Oura was really good.
“The whole team was really good on the night!”
